Jan. 15th, the Environmental Protection Agency posted its final
amendments to the Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engine (RICE) rule.
Understanding how the final amended RICE rule could impact your utility is
important. Additionally, understanding the options that are available to help
your utility comply can help reduce the cost of decision making. In this
webinar, APPA and NRECA staff will give a general overview of the final RICE
rule. Caterpillar representatives will give brief discussions on least-cost
strategies for retrofitting existing compression ignition engines to comply with
the RICE rule, including options for replacing different RICE configurations
with new engines.
